Cycling route of 50 km, shortened to 40 km. You will cycle over the border more than 25 (!) times during the Enclave route. This renewed cycling loop lets you hop across the border in the most remarkable village in the world. For a long time it proved impossible to clearly determine the border here. It was not until 1974 that this 'gap in the border' was closed. Since 1995, the borders of the 30 enclaves have formed the official national border. In addition to the enclave puzzle, the border region offers even more special things: from the legendary Dodendraad over the Bels Lijntje to Wortel-Kolonie. It is also possible to cycle the 22 km children's route.

The starting point is the Baarle-Hertog town hall, Parallelweg 1, 2387 Baarle-Hertog. You follow the hexagonal signs with blue arrows. The flag on the signs indicates whether you are on Belgian or Dutch territory. A large bicycle indicates the long loop, a tricycle the child-friendly loop.

  1. Startplaats

    Gemeentehuis Baarle-Hertog, Parallelweg 1, 2387 Baarle-Hertog. Je volgt de zeshoekige bordjes met blauwe pijl. Het vlaggetje op de bordjes geeft aan of je je op Belgisch of op Nederlands grondgebied bevindt. Een grote fiets duidt op de lange lus, een driewielertje op de kindvriendelijke lus.
